Wrecked TSX: How one car became two projects
By Aaron Gaghagen and Brian Gillespie

Sometimes when you’re riding high life finds a way to put you in check. At the end of 2021 Brian finally accomplished his long time goal of buying Hasport Performance from his brother. It had been years in the making. So after this accomplishment his wife convinced him to finally buy a nicer car than the budget projects he usually drives around town. Brian scored a beautifully well maintained and tastefully modified 2005 TSX from a friend. The body was clean. The interior was black and in mint condition.

After a long and productive day at the track a phone call ended an evening of winding down with five words no car owner wants to hear “Brian, I crashed the car.” In a matter of minutes Brian and Aaron were on the scene of the incident. Fortunately the friend that was driving the car at the time of the accident was not seriously injured. The TSX on the other hand was totaled.

This is where the project takes a positive turn. Instead of taking the cash from the accident payout and just saying “peace out” to the car, Brian saw an opportunity for something much better. Why have one mostly finished TSX when he could have two? Meet our two newest projects: Mini TL and Phoenix TSX!
