Protect your K20A race engine. If you don’t do this, you are just asking for trouble. We’re going to share a valuable lesson we have learned the hard way when it comes to racing a K-series powered car. With the stock oiling system you are at risk of starving your engine of oil on long right-hand sweeping corners.

The common solution is to over fill your engine a quart of oil, but as you get faster you use stickier tires creating higher G’s, even this won’t help. The better solution is to use an oil pan baffle. There are plenty of people making oil pan baffles for the aluminum pans, but what about steel? Here is one solution from a company called Trac Tuff. You can find them at https://tractuff.com. We take a look at how the TracTuff oil pan baffle works to keep the oil where your engine needs it.
