Turbo L15B7 into the DC2 Integra: New tech old chassis

By Brian Gillespie

Hands down, Honda makes the best car engines. They get more performance, better mileage and pollute less than any other manufacturers vehicles. Only electric offers more potential power with less pollution. Back in the 90s the mighty B-series engine forged a performance path that saw many younger car enthusiasts chose the Honda as their performance car.

Next came the almighty K-series. With tuning potential unlike any other naturally aspirated engine, Honda continued to dominate the sport compact performance. N/A K-series powered drag cars are making well above 400hp and have dropped deep into the 8s in the quarter mile.

With increasing concerns over green house gas emission driving the need for cleaner burning engines and better mileage, how could Honda possibly follow that up? Enter the new turbo motors from Honda. Better mileage, less pollution and yes, faster.

Honda is selling boat loads of these cars too. Tuners are having a field day tweaking the tunes and getting gobs of horsepower fro these little engines. We have got a hold of a bunch of these engines and it’s time to swap them into our favorite chassis.
