PROJECT BACKMARKER Part 1

PROJECT BACKMARKER Part 1: EF Resurrection

By Aaron Gaghagen

Somethings never go out of style. Especially stuff from the late 80s/early 90s. Everyone is still rocking IOU sweatshirts, feathered bangs and bitchin’ Civic hatchbacks on 5 stars, right? Oh, that’s just us? Flash forward to way back in 2009 this mofo appeared in a little ol’ magazine called Super Street. It was a different time and the Civic was being built by one of the editors, Andy Hope. A few years ago Brian agreed to help him complete the project and the car languished in my garage waiting for a time we could get together to finish it.

Andy had big plans for the project, but as life happens our plans often change. So rather than just let the car deteriorate in storage, he offered to sell it to Brian. With the soft spot in his heart for Honda’s fourth generation Civic he couldn’t resist. Brian raided his savings and bought the car. Fast forward another few years to today and the Coronavirus pandemic. Brian has found time on his hands to complete some projects he’s been meaning to work on. It’s finally time to get this thing back on the road!
