Budget EK Civic K Swap Parts List and Total Cost: Still a good deal?

There are a few common issues that people run into while K swapping their EK Civics. We run through the gamut to troubleshoot ours and when we get it running we show you exactly what it costs and what parts you need to get your Civic on the road with K series power. Will this K24 swap be as budget friendly this time? Or has the increase in the cost of living put a budget K series engine swap out of reach?

Probably the biggest obstacle to a successful “budget” K swap is not having all the parts before starting. Nothing halts your momentum or ruins your budget more than not having a critical part and having to scramble to find it used locally or buy new and two or three times the price.

So, may I present our all inclusive parts list so you can do the swap quickly and efficiently. It is complete with prices so you can be jealous of how cheaply we were able to source this swap. But seriously you can too if you search around carefully.

We also bought a 2005 Element engine harness because of a wiring problem at $19 and I forgot to mention we bought a 2004 CRV thermostat and housing to get our lower hose pointing in the correct direction.
