Breaking Down Our ZC Swap – Examining our engine for install and a surprise!
By Brian Gillespie
We picked this engine to get Project Backmarker up and running quickly. A ZC swap into an EF Civic is a tried and true way to go, but upon inspection we find some things that appear suspect and warrant a closer look. So, let’s take a few things apart and see exactly what going on with this thing. Will it be terminal? Will it just be a matter of cleaning and flushing the engine? Will McRib ever become a permanent menu option? While we don’t know about the McRib, we do know there’s only one way to find out what the deal is with our engine. It’s time to get down and dirty with the ZC.
