B Series Block Bracket Quick Tip: What will work for you?
By Brian Gillespie
We have a quick tip for you and this one is all about the B Series block bracket. Did you know there is a choice of three different brackets depending on the swap you are doing? If you don’t have the correct bracket your mounts may not fit your engine and that would suck. Keep reading and I’ll help you figure out which one you need. Oh yeah, we made a video about it so just watch the video and that ought to help you figure it out.
The three brackets you see in our video are from Hasport, because.. duh! The PR3 Block Bracket is used on the 90-93 Integra, in the 89-91 SiR Civics, and in the 88-91 Civic for B-series engine swaps. The P30BB block bracket is used with B-series engines in 92-94 Civics using the two-bolt style mount. It’s also used in the 96-00 Civic with stock mounts or two-bolt replacement mounts. Last is the P72 Block Bracket that comes on the 94-01 Integra. It has three bolt holes. It can also be used in the 92-00 Civic if you opt for a three-bolt style replacement mount. Some models of 92-94 Civic even came equipped with the three-bolt mount stock.
